With Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, patch notes have made an appearance wherein changes and fixes are logged for reference in-game. In terms of sales launched in late October 2024, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has received monumental acclaim—due partly, of course, to a much-cherished, gargantuan legion of fighters—the original over 180 playable characters at launch. Thus, Bandai Namco engaged with DLC and balance patches to elongate this game's very existence before its loyal followers.
Bandai Namco's announcements have given plenty of information on what players can expect in the latest update, including adjustments to characters on this grand roster from Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Rush and Smash Attack damages of the giant characters, for example, were nerfed. Now, they will also take extra damage from melee attacks as well as further recovery time after missing with Rush and Smash attacks.
There have also been some general adjustments to the battle system made by the developers, such as the automatic Ki recovery rates increasing for the first Ki gauge. The other one impacts camera work during battles involving giant characters and regular-sized characters: While promising changes were very well received, some were hoping for an even bigger reveal.
If the rumors are to be believed, then characters are playable right now for early-access gamers. Theoretically, this new transformation stands a chance to find its way into the timelessly sky-rocketing roster out in the market.
