Leaks say that two new PS5 bundles with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are supposedly to be sold by Sony. There shall be both PS5 Slim and PS5 Slim Digital bundles. This news is somewhat surprising, given that Black Ops 6 is somewhat more than six months old and is currently owned by the rival of Sony.
After the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard, this means games like Call of Duty, Spyro the Dragon, and Crash Bandicoot are now in the Xbox Game Pass. Both Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 came to Game Pass shortly after their release, while Black Ops 6 was the first to debut on Day 1 on the service.
Activision is controlled by Microsoft, so Call of Duty should be leased for free via Xbox Game Pass. That would make Sony's choice for bundling quite unexpected. However, the leaker from Dealabs, Billbil-kun, who has leaked many things before, says that Sony has plans for two PS5 bundles with Black Ops 6, one with the PS5 Slim and a digital code for Black Ops 6, and the other with the PS5 Slim Digital Edition.
The release date for the bundles is likely uncertain, but the leaker thinks they could coincide with Call of Duty Season 4 or Days of Play, both of which are rumored to start later this month. Sony has not yet confirmed this piece of information, so we cannot say for sure if the prices are right. If true, the price is good for European fans. Last month, Sony came out and said they were going to raise the prices of the PS5 in some markets.
Surprisingly, Black Ops 6 is in the bundle, but Sony has done this kind of thing before. In March, the company did the exact same thing with a PS5 bundle involving Astro Bot, a 3D platformer exclusive to PS5. With these bundles, Astro Bot joins other exclusives like God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
