Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Hardcore Mode Will Be Released Soon

Warhorse Studios says the Hardcore Mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will come out next week. They have not told us the day yet. Soon, players can start a new playthrough with more challenge.

After a big launch, Warhorse Studios keeps adding new content to the game. The first big update came out in March with improvements, bug fixes, and changes to make the game better. It added a new barber feature too. Players can change Henry's hairstyle and beard at two barbers in Bohemia. They get a Freshly Trimmed buff, boosting Charisma by 2.

Warhorse Studios will also release Hardcore Mode next week. It will be free for all players through a patch update on consoles and PC. The exact date isn't known, but it will be between Monday, April 14, and Friday, April 18. Since the last update came out on a Thursday, Hardcore Mode might come out on Thursday, April 17.

Hardcore Mode changes many things. Players have to pick three from ten negative perks, like more hunger or less carry weight. These perks stay for the whole playthrough. The UI changes too; there are no markers on the map and no directions on the compass. Fast travel is gone, so players must use their own sense of direction.

Players have wanted Hardcore Mode since the game launched in February. Some fans found a way to access it early using console commands on PC. Even though it wasn't officially released, the files were there. Playing it this way might not be good since it might be unfinished. But it gave a sneak peek of what's coming when it launches next week.
