This agent holds the potential to revolutionize productivity tools, search engines, and online shopping platforms.
He stated that there will no longer be a need for one to visit a search engine or Amazon.
During his speech at AI Forward 2023, an event organized by Goldman Sachs Group Inc and SV Angel in San Francisco, Bill Gates expressed his hope that Microsoft would be a strong contender in the race. However, he acknowledged that there was a 50% probability that the leading player would be a startup.
Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.com Inc., all of which are owned by Alphabet Inc., did not immediately reply to requests for comment.
Gates expressed his admiration for Inflection AI, a company co-founded by entrepreneur Reid Hoffman, stating that it left a strong impression on him.
Numerous industry participants have dedicated their efforts to constructing a computer assistant fueled by AI, which users can command through speech or text to perform a wide array of tasks on their behalf.
Gates emphasized the significance of the outcome in the competition for the personal agent and said that the victor in the realm of personal agents will have achieved something substantial.
