World of Warcraft Previews the Cartels of Undermine Patch 11.1 Renown Faction

A teaser for Cartels of Undermine, a new Renown faction coming in Patch 11.1, has been made public on World of Warcraft. This World of Warcraft faction, which is made up of four different iconic Goblin cartels, with a secret fifth one on the horizon, offers a dynamic, thrilling approach to boosting Renown and winning rewards in the next update.

Undermine, World of Warcraft's Patch 11.1, is a perfect name for a patch that will take the game's players to the underground Goblin metropolis of Undermine. While being there, the heroes of Azeroth will meet new allies and come back to friendship with old allies while trying to thwart the schemes of Xal'atath and Gallywix.

Some of the Cartels of Undermine will be among the most important friends the fans will make in the next update, and World of Warcraft has recently released a blog that describes how this Patch 11.1 Renaun faction will work. Each week the players will make a contract with one of the four large cartels: Monte Gazlowe's Bilgewater, Marin Noggenfogger's Steamwheedle, Baron Revilgaz's Blackwater, or a group of the Venture Co. led by Grimla Fizzlecrank. Like the Pact system from WoW: The War Within's Severed Threads Renown faction, choosing one faction will influence the available activities in Undermine and allow one to focus on gaining reputation with that cartel— increasing their global Cartels of Undermine Renown in the process.

Naturally, a Renown faction, in this case, would bring numerous things for players to collect and use. Fans can get Valorstones, Crests, profession recipes, and transmogs, plus upgrades for several overworld activities like S.C.R.A.P. and the C.H.E.T.T. List by raising their global Renown. The TopSkimmer Special mount and "The Explosive" title are the rewards that will be given to the players who reach Renown 19 and 20, respectively, along with the other rewards from each of the four cartel's individual reputation vendors. Besides that, World of Warcraft also hinted at a secret fifth cartel that will come along sometime later, while details on how that will work are currently unknown. Though not officially confirmed, indications lead to this group being Darkfuse Solutions—the private security firm employed by Gallywix—assuming mercenaries have a change of heart after the self-styled Chrome King's defeat in the Liberation of Undermine raid.

Fans will be able to start with the Cartels of Undermine reputation once Patch 11.1 is live. It is not officially set, but many speculate that it will be on February 18 or 25 due to WoW events such as the Turbulent Timeways and Plunderstorm. Nevertheless, an official announcement will be made regarding the launch date of Undermined very soon.
