Leclerc Stays Focused Amid Hamilton's Ferrari Frenzy

With the attention on his new Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc has explained how he has been able to concentrate on his own preparations for the 2025 Formula 1 season and the benefits that come with this.

Hamilton's move to Ferrari has been the focus of several news articles and heated debates on social media.

The attention lavished on the seven-time Formula One world champion contrasts sharply with Leclerc's quiet Ferrari debut in 2019, when he was elevated from Sauber to join Sebastian Vettel's squad.

Leclerc stated, "Clearly, the circumstances Lewis finds himself in after joining the squad are considerably different. It was still fresh to me when I joined, having just competed in Formula 1 for a year."

"Even though I had previously attended the Ferrari Driver Academy and knew the factory and everything, I still had to understand how a team like Ferrari would operate in Formula 1."

Although Lewis has never played for an Italian team, he has accomplished a great deal and comes here clearly as a sports hero.

It's fascinating to observe how he achieved such success in prior organizations and how they operated in the past.

"We've learned a lot about it. Additionally, it was quite thrilling to watch how thrilled he was with the entire situation."

"That made the off-season somewhat more obscure for me, but I still had fun with it."

"I concentrated on myself. To get prepared for the first race, I'm exerting every effort. And I'm extremely excited about this year, expecting that we'll get off to a better start than we did last year."

In response to a question concerning their newfound collaboration, Leclerc continued, "I was surprised—our driving style is very similar."

"It's good that we both enjoy pushing a lot, especially when entering bends, because it demands the same thing of the car."

"That is usually a wonderful thing as a team because we will undoubtedly push in the same direction since we have similar needs; therefore, we are collaborating very well."

"Since the start of the year, we have spent a significant amount of time together. I'm excited to race alongside him and perhaps help Ferrari return to the top, but we spend less time on the track and more time in the studio taking shots, which is not our favorite aspect of the job."

Ferrari CEO Fred Vasseur claims that the team won't let the curiosity in Hamilton's presence divert them.

"I believe that the excitement that every team and individual player feels at the start of the season is ingrained in our sport," he stated.

At first, we all feel like we could win the world championship. And we're all in agreement when you talk about the drivers or the teams.

It went really nicely for us this winter in our particular circumstance. We undoubtedly had a massive marketing tsunami, but the crew maintained focus throughout the winter.
