The fighting game throne appears to be waiting for Street Fighter 6. The next release from Capcom has the fighting game community prepared to unleash brand-new and exciting variations of spinning bird kicks and dragon punches. But first, test your system's capability to play this much awaited console and PC game.
What makes it worthwhile?
The father of fighting games, one of the coolest and most popular game genres, is Capcom's Street Fighter. With its iconic cast of world warriors and expertly balanced fistfights and fireballs, Street Fighter II very much established the genre.
While some Street Fighter games surpass others in quality, the series as a whole enjoys a legendary status. Street Fighter V, the most recent installment, initially received mixed reviews compared to the highly successful Street Fighter IV, which sparked a resurgence in the fighting game genre. However, Street Fighter 6 aims to reignite excitement in both casual and competitive play. With its striking new visuals, expansive game modes, captivating roster of characters, and competitive gameplay enhancements, Street Fighter 6 is poised to generate buzz and captivate players once again.
Where to buy it?
Street Fighter 6 is accessible on PC through Steam, priced at $59.99. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $84.99, encompasses the Character Pass with four DLC characters, extra character colors, and Drive Tickets for in-game cosmetics. For $104.99, the digital-only Ultimate Edition offers the one-year Ultimate Pass, incorporating the four DLC characters and colors, additional costumes, and two new stages. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, but unfortunately, it won't be released on the Nintendo Switch.
