Fruit Ninja

Fruit Ninja

Fruit Ninja is an action-based game developed by Halfbrick Studios. It has been previously known as Fruit Ninja Free. The goal in this game is to slash through as much fruit as possible while dodging bombs. However, this game does also include bonus content: events, challenges, and minigames, in addition to the standard arcade, classic, and zen modes. Currently, only base game modes are active. The entire game is being remade from scratch in a new codebase.

While most rounds are free to be played, game modes like Arcade Rumble require golden apple tickets for every round they want to play.

At times, fruit waves will call forth bonus bananas instead of regular bananas. Each of these bananas has its own enhancements to the game and can stay effective for about seven seconds.

Double Point: It stops all normal score increments and starts a separate counter that doubles each score accrued under it and polls the total with a normal score after the ending of the special banana.

Pixel bombs appear deceptively similar to red bombs but have an X and are heavily pixelized in blue. They will occasionally be given when one has the Pixel Love blade equipped. They never explode, cannot be deflected, and cannot form a combination with one. All they do is make a "retro/8-bit sound" when swiped.

The player has to slice fruits during the match in order to fill a bar that gives tokens for every time it is filled. The opposite character may provide either a good or bad power to the player using crates or random chance, and the screen will be displayed in green or purple, respectively.

The game starts with the player having three lives, shown as three "X" marks on the top right-hand corner of the screen. This means that every time a fruit is dropped, the player loses one life. The game ends the moment all lives are lost or a bomb is hit. However, it would be safe from damage if Bomb Deflect was active. Every time a player reaches a multiple of 100 in scores, an extra life will be awarded as indicated by a missing X mark.

As a game progresses, the rate at which fruits and bombs are sent out and dropped will only increase in order to make the difficulty level even higher. For every average six fruit that has been sliced, there is one bomb that might spawn.

Zen Mode is one of the three main modes in Fruit Ninja. In this mode, the player has to cut up as much fruit as possible; they can also cut fruits in combos at this time. This mode lasts for 90 seconds and has no bombs or even the Dragon Fruit, the Pomegranates, Bonus Bananas, and Smoothies.
